Craziness...

It’s been a crazy week or so around the castle.  Internet was down for several days, it seems the router may have been hit by lightning.  How’s a princess supposed to know that?  I had some work obligations I drug the family to and I was able to see a 783.4 lb Blue Marlin up close and a little too personal.  Crazy huh?  Although people suggested I take my picture with it, I declined. True, it was really big but it was also really, really, really stinky.

The Winning Boat

On the way to the weigh in

The Diva has soccer day camp all week, so that has left us with quite a bit of running back and forth.  And, lucky for us Tropical Storm Debbie decided to take everyone’s advice and not over stay her welcome.
Soon the crew from the office is going over to see the Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House.  We think it’s pretty cool that it is in our backyard.  Pictures to come, I promise.

I know it is only Wednesday but I only have more day to make it through and then I am on stacycation (that word bothers me for some reason) until July 5th! And, boy let me tell you that excites me.  The Diva suggested we go to Disney World, Kevin declined that excursion saying it was too HOT!  Although I know it’s hot, had he not been so adamantly against it, I probably could have been talked into it.

I however want to go see a lighthouse.  So, I am trying to talk my family into making a trek over to Gulf County to visit them.  There is a total of four and I am really interested in checking them out.  But we shall see…

Until then.  XOXOXOXO

Family

Yesterday I posted a picture of Facebook of my hair.  Nothing spectacular, a braided headband made of my hair.  One of my cousins noticed the picture and said "I thought you found a picture of me!"  No it's really me, but it made me think about how families can favor each other in looks and deeds.  Looks are easy; maybe you have similar eyes or the same shaped face.  On the Mosley side of the family it is easy to see how we all favor, it's with out a doubt the cheeks.
Jordyn and Me - 1st cousin.

As you can see in the picture above, we certainly favor.  And like I said, the Cheeks have it!

My Ali Diva and of course Me
Of course there is not any doubt that she belongs to me.  We look nearly just alike.
Ali & Kevin
Keep in mind while you think she looks like me, she does have her moments where she favors him! Case in point!
Jordyn, Ali and Me!

Now you can see we all favor and again it's the cheeks.  Now you are saying how closely are you related.  My mother and Jordyn's dad are brother and sister.  We share the same grandparents.
Ali & Sydney
Now these two are funny that they looks so much alike.  Their grandparents are 1st cousins. But hey I can see the resemblance...
Jericha & Ali
While those 2 are not identical or anything you can see they favor.  Jericha is on Kevin's side of the family and her mother Morgan and Ali are 1st cousins.
Campbell & Ali
Like Jericha although they are not identical you can see that Campbell and Ali favor.  Again Campbell is on Kevin's side of the family.  Her daddy is Ches and he and Ali are 1st cousins as well.
Stinkface Ali and Stinkface Kelli
And, lastly I had to close with the Stinkface, while yes we do look alike, our behaviors are similar as well.  Even at an early age Ali could give a Stinkface with the best of them!

Hope you have a good day!!  I just thought it was fun looking at both sides of the family and being able to see my Ali in all of them!  :)

Rain & Digital Graffiti

Over the weekend as the rain poured, I was certainly hopeful for blue sky, mainly because rain makes my hair look terrible and also, because we had amazing plans for Saturday night.  Not sure if you have you have ever heard of Digital Graffiti, but it is this really cool two night event in its fifth year held in the picturesque neighborhood of Alys Beach in South Walton, Florida.

Vie Magazine was on board and they planned a fabulous step and repeat red carpet concluding at the end with a signature Vie-tini for your enjoyment.  Knowing this I had a fabulous white dress with black polka dots by Deja Vu that I felt would show off nicely with my strawberry blonde hair and the red carpet and did I mention some really great black strappy wedges by Nine West. Unfortunately due to substantial downpour, it was not meant to be, sadly no red carpet for this Princess.
told ya the dress was great.  And yes Kevin looks nice too!
Deciding dinner and drinks was the best replacement for the short notice, we made our way to Shades in Inlet Beach were we met some friends.  Abita –purple haze- beer, Coors Light, crab claws (none for me), buffalo wings, salads, burgers, greet friends, cool conversation and the Miami vs Boston basketball game were on the menu for the next few hours.  Although we did manage to get a little work done and I have the picture to prove it.
hard at work: updating social media!
Bellies full, laughter had and our drink on we made our way to Alys Beach for Digital Graffiti.  Parking was good and with special media VIP pass and wristbands our group bypassed the long line and made our way into the neighborhood.  The artwork was amazing as always.  To see this beautiful artwork projected on the white washed building never ceases to amaze me.  It was truly a brilliant person who was able to come up with this concept.  A fun time was had by all and here are a few pictures from the night.  Keep in mind they were taken with my iPhone.

Happy Saturday!

It's a good day for me, number one I am not working!  Number 2, I am getting my hair DONE!  It needs it desperately.  If that little Diva of mine points out one more grey hair, I may not be responsible for my actions.  So I am taking corrective measures today for her sake.  And, lastly it's Saturday.

Other than getting some better hair, we have plans to go to Lowes (Kevin's happy place other than Bass Pro Shop); Old Time Pottery (one of my happy places) and Pet Smart (one of the Diva's happy places.)  I have no idea what we need from Lowes or Pet Smart.  I need a new mini muffin pan from Old Time Pottery.

Enjoy your Saturday I know I plan to enjoy mine.  :)
